The Ibanez RGIX27FEQM wields a dual set of EMG 707 active humbucking pickups which utilize alnico V loaded wide aperture coils to deliver a truly dynamic 7-string tonality. Eliminating the muddy and muffled low sound of prior 7 string guitar pickups the 707's produce a deep and defined low B response whilst also providing tight, crisp and detailed overall response allowing them to be versatile enough for a huge range of playing styles.
String-Thru Body
The Iron Label RG incorporates a string-thru body to provide improved tonality and sustain by transferring vibrations and resonance from the string to the body as it goes over the tailpiece and passes through the body.
Killswitch
Also featuring an extremely useful and unique killswitch in the electronic circuit the RGIX27FEQM delivers the ability to add a chopping style effect used by the likes of Eddie Van Halen by simply switching the installed toggle switch next to the volume and tone controls in various patterns to create a range of staccato style effects.
Nitro Wizard Neck
