The Guild Polara is here presented in an eye-catching Phantom Green finish with Indian Rosewood fretboard. This no-nonsense solid body electric guitar is fitted with twin Guild HB-2+ humbucking pickups which produce everything from warm, round tones to in-your-face power. The strings-through-body design and Tune-O-Matic bridge ensure outstanding sustain and great intonation.
GUILD POLARA PHANTOM GREEN
Built on a stripped down, no-frills design approach, the Polara has an ultra-light ergonomic body thanks to its contouring and minimalistic hardware package. Notably, a string-through body design transmits string resonance straight through the mahogany body delivering massive sustain and response. A diagonal string layout matches Guild’s compensated stop bar design first introduced in the early 1970s. The Polara features a Mahogany body with a set neck design and 24 ¾ scale length, which is familiar and friendly to all types of players. A Rosewood fingerboard and modern U shape neck with simple dot inlays provide a classic look.
The new uncovered HB-2+ pickups are modern extensions of the coveted Guild HB-1 oversized humbuckers, built in a traditional size humbucker with Alnico V magnets. These hot-wound HB-2+ pickups bring a variety of boutique quality tones with loads of character and voice. Black pole pieces further expand the vibe while simplified master volume and tone controls add to the Polara’s no frills and down to business design.
