An absolutely immaculate example of the Cort KX500 Etched Black with Fishman Fluence Modern Pickups and Sand-Blasted Burl Ash Top. An absolutely gorgeous guitar. Cort are carving themselves a well earned place in the upper echelons of modern metal guitars, and this is no exception.
General
The Cort KX500 Etched might well be referred to as the mother-ship of the KX Series. This hyper-modern electric guitar blends the natural beauty of the wood used to shape it with high-quality, utterly contemporary hardware. The mahogany body is topped with 15mm thick burl ask top that has undergone a sand-blasted treatment for a highly subtle and unique finish and the flat ebony fretboard shares the tonal qualities of rosewood but has a darker, more sleek look.
The KX500 Etched: Simply Versatile
The sound thankfully matches the looks since the Cort KX500 Etched comes mounted with a pair of Fishman Fluence Modern humbuckers. These pickups come with two voicings activated using the push/pull volume pot. Pulling it out splits these high-output humbuckers in two, for a more toned down, single-coil sound, giving this instrument its immensely versatile tonal character, whether brutal and thick, or bright and clean. The stable fixed bridge and set of Cort's very own locking tuners complete a relatively simple model that's rich with complex tone.
