Ok, here's a bonkers rare pedal. These NEVER come up and it's the only one available in Europe, and it probably will be for quite some time. Used by the greats as an extremely desirable clean boost / EQ / FET gain stage, this thing sounds glorious. Do not miss this chance to own a bona fide piece of pedal mythology.
The Boss FA-1 FET Amplifier was one of two Pocket Series products (the other being the MA-1 Mascot Amplifier) released in the mid 1980's. The Pocket Series were designed to clip onto the users belt using the plastic mount hook on the back and therefor the FA-1 had no power jack.
The FA-1 offers guitarists a boost with some character that responds well with playing dynamics. The Volume knob controls the volume and grit of the boost, the Treble knob controls the high frequencies, the Bass knob controls the low frequencies and the slide switch changes between a flat EQ and a low cut setting.
The short-lived and rare Boss FA-1 FET Amplifier is a clean boost and pre-amp with a switchable low-cut filter and separate bass and treble controls. The Edge of U2 is known for using a Boss FA-1 regularly as part of his rig.
