JHS Pedals presents the Legends of Fuzz range! The Supreme is a faithful homage to one of four legendary fuzz pedals that shaped the gritty guitar tones of rock 'n' roll glory days.
Story
Japan was the place to be for guitar pedal innovations of the sixties. The Shin-Ei brand manufactured circuits for the likes of the Univox Unicord Super-Fuzz pedal, made famous by Pete Townsend of The Who. The Supreme captures those searing tones for today's players. Get your hands on a real piece of fuzz history.
The Univox Unicord Super-Fuzz was more than just a light octave fuzz. It chewed up lead melodies and chords into thick textures. JHS have recreated that same exciting voicing heard through the Black Keys, Beastie Boys and White Stripes.
Sound
Controls here are extremely simple and you're sure to get a great tone as soon as you plug in. Twist the expand dial to increase gain to your taste.
On the side of pedal are two buttons: tone and mode. The former setting cuts aggressive mids for a flatter EQ. Mode is JHS Pedal's own unique circuit, which creates a more pronounced octave effect, chunkier mids and a higher volume and tone capacity.
